OSL are looking for a laundry operative and back up collection/delivery driver to join our team. We are a growing family run laundry business and all our team are customer facing representatives of our business. We are looking for a friendly, hard-working, reliable individual who will put our customers and their team mates first. All applicants must have a valid UK driving licence and be capable of lifting and carrying piles of linen and linen collection bags.
The role is initially self-employed with guaranteed 16-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 11am and 6pm. Saturday will be a future requirement.
Responsibilities: - Working in the laundry operating laundry washing machines and commercial irons. (training will be received). Loading and unloading washing machines and dryers, folding, and pressing laundry. On some occasions drive a company van to deliver linen safely and efficiently to customers' homes or businesses - Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery - Communicate with customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, handle and load linen/laundry into delivery vehicle, complete necessary paperwork and log delivery information - Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Requirements: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members - Ability to lift heavy packages. - Familiarity with local roads and neighbourhoods - Excellent time management skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Note: Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus as is a customer facing retail role.
