Role Overview
NHS Lanarkshire is recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Locum Consultant Community Paediatrician for a period of 18 months. The temporary position will help provide community paediatric services to children in Lanarkshire, improving waiting lists and supporting a service improvement project.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to service recovery efforts by increasing clinical capacity, improving patient flow, and ensuring timely access to care for children and families.
* Assess, prioritise and manage patients on the waiting list and improve return appointments for existing community paediatric patients.
* Contribute to clinical governance, documentation and collaborate with the team to report progress monitoring and sustainability of improvements with the Community Paediatric Service.
Employment Details
* Full time.
* No on call commitment.
* Duration: 18 months.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
* Membership of the RCPCPH.
* Registered with the GMC.
Professional Development Opportunities
* Proposals for additional SPA time are encouraged.
* Support for additional SPA time for activities such as quality improvement, patient safety (including human factors training), medical education, research & development, and acting as an Appraiser.
