Job Duties:
* Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored educational activities
* Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help (physical disabilities)
* Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
* Collaborating with other staff members and ensuring engagement of non-verbal students
Required Qualifications:
* Enhanced DBS check
* Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (personal experience)
Education:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
* Previous experience working with students with SEND (personal experience)
* Experience in a classroom setting is a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of different learning needs and how to support them
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience and empathy towards students with SEND
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Training in behaviour management techniques
* Health and Social Care
* Cache level 3
* Manual handling
