Overview
Access have partnered with an SME Geotechnical and Geo-environmental firm who are looking to take on a more senior engineer who has a mixed design and GI background. Our Midlands based client offers services in ground investigation, slope stability, contaminated land risk and geotechnical foundation design.
The successful candidate will be well versed in both SI work and geotechnical foundation design/slope stability. The client is looking for an engineer who isn’t afraid of getting hands dirty, and who can translate interpretive and factual reports back to the design team and convert that work into a design that meets the high expectations of the end client.
Responsibilities
* Engage in mixed design and ground investigation (GI) work and geotechnical foundation design / slope stability.
* Interpret findings from reports and deliver clear input to the design team to develop appropriate designs.
* Lead or contribute to project work ensuring client expectations are met.
Qualifications
* Right to live and work in the UK
* Experience in geotechnical foundation design, slope/soil stability and GI
* A relevant degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or similar
* A full UK driving licence
* The ability to travel
Multiple Roles, Locations and Seniorities
This is a rare opportunity for the client to hire senior team members. Roles (examples from the posting) include:
* Geoenvironmental Engineer (3–7 years) – based in Sheffield with development opportunities in technical and site-based work.
* Geoenvironmental roles in Central London and Warwick/Warrington – balanced work combining technical report writing with hands-on site work (5–10 years).
* Civil & Geotechnical / Structural Engineering and Forensic/Expert Witness services – opportunities in London with Permanent contracts.
