Whether across the UK or beyond, we’re dedicated to delivering world-class, interactive moments that captivate audiences and elevate brands.*The Role*We’re hiring a Tech Lead to own the technical delivery of our event products.This is a hands-on job. You’ll design, build, and run the tech for live activations end-to-end, and you’ll be the go-to technical authority on site for bigger/complex builds.You’ll be working across everything from AI photo workflows and real-time printing, to robotics and custom interactive setups. If you like mixing hardware, software, and live human experience, you’ll enjoy this.*What You’ll Do** Own the technical side of activations from pre-production to delivery. Make sure builds are solid, delivered to spec, and ops teams are trained/supported.* Design and build event systems that pull together cameras, electronics, printers, web front ends, and back-end services/APIs.* Be the technical decision-maker for your projects, fixing problems fast and keeping activations live.* Improve reliability and scalability: better system design, deployment process, QA, and fallback plans.* Work with Creative and Sales to figure out what’s possible, estimate effort properly, and guide clients to the best solution.* Create reusable frameworks/patterns for common builds (photo journeys, data capture, print pipelines, robotic workflows, etc.).* Mentor technicians and help raise technical standards across the team.* Support research, prototyping and feed learnings back into product development.*Technical Skills We Need** Strong *systems *thinking — you can design resilient setups with clear fail paths and backups.* Very comfortable with *Windows *for live event deployment, including optimisation/stability.* Confident with *Linux *services for back-ends, edge devices, or deployment targets.* Solid experience integrating *mixed hardware* (cameras, printers, robotics, lighting triggers, sensors, etc.).* *Practical HTML/CSS experience*.* Good grounding in common *programming *languages.* Experience working with *REST APIs/webhooks*, third-party services, and auth flows.*Personal Skills We Need** Calm and decisive.* Clear communicator — you can explain technical calls to non-technical people.* You spot risks early and build around them.* Happy owning timelines and outcomes without needing lots of oversight.* Comfortable travelling and leading on site, when required.* Full UK driving licence is a bonus.*Working Setup** Full-time, permanent.
