If yes, we are looking for someone like you to join our team working on the British Gypsum contract in Kirby Thore as a Weighbridge Operator.
The main purpose of the weighbridge operator is to ensure the smooth operation of the Weighbridge facility, acting as the first and last point of contact for all staff and contractors.
The operator will also be responsible for ensuring all legal and contractual obligations are met, including site inductions and weight checks.
The weighbridge operator plays a key role in the transport function, liaising regularly to ensure the delivery of a first-class service to our customers.

You will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern between 06:00-18:00. The salary offered is £26,758. Benefits include 20 days' holiday, high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, workplace pension, and other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Weigh in and out all vehicles, recording weights and ensuring variances are within tolerance.
* Comply with legislative requirements, company policies, procedures, and customer-specific requirements.
* Ensure personnel entering the site are inducted using the rapid induction system.
* Check that only authorized vehicles and personnel enter the site; log all vehicle entries and exits.
* Issue site rules to all drivers.
* Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
* Ensure all shipments are dispatched on SAP.
* Understand and comply with all relevant company rules, policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and codes of practice.
* Maintain confidentiality of company business.
* Act professionally, maintain good working relationships, and promote a positive company image.
* Challenge and determine reasons for any unauthorized persons on site.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* Previous experience in a logistics environment is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
