Job overview
This newly created post offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, forward‑thinking neuroradiology department at a time of significant development and expansion. You will play a key role in enhancing neuroradiology service provision within a modern neurosciences centre equipped with state‑of‑the‑art imaging technology.
The role is suitable for applicants who are already qualified radiologists (e.g., CCT or international equivalent) seeking to develop further expertise in diagnostic neuroradiology, as well as those wishing to gain NHS experience prior to progressing to a consultant post. The position is offered for one year in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
Main duties of the job
The specific duties of the post‑holder will be agreed with the clinical lead and tailored to prior experience. You will join a friendly, collaborative team of twelve neuroradiology consultants and work closely with colleagues in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery and Stroke.
Core responsibilities include cross‑sectional imaging reporting, participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, and supervision of radiology trainees. The post does not initially include an on‑call commitment, allowing you to focus on consolidating and expanding your neuroradiology skills within a supportive environment.
