Teaching Assistant (TA) - College Setting

Location: Near Lingfield, Surrey
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young adults with special educational needs? We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated team in this unique residential and day college for students aged 19-25.

About The Setting

With cutting-edge facilities and a holistic approach, they focus on individual growth, life skills, and preparing young people for a more independent life.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the students, both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide high-quality care and assistance tailored to each student's needs. This includes:

* Assisting with educational activities and ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
* Providing personal care, where necessary, and supporting life skills development.
* Encouraging independence and supporting students in achieving their individual goals.
* Helping with therapeutic interventions and activities, both on and off-site.
* Building positive relationships with students, fostering trust and confidence.
* Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, and health professionals.

Requirements

* A caring and proactive attitude with the ability to build strong relationships with students.
* Experience working with young people or adults with special educational needs is desirable, but not essential - training will be provided.
* Flexibility and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to engage in personal care duties when required.
