The
Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI)
is seeking an experienced and motivated
Grants and Inclusion Manager
to lead the grant-making and inclusion components of a globally significant conservation programme. This high-profile initiative brings together leading conservation organisations and University departments to address critical biodiversity challenges worldwide.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the grant-making process, managing applications, contracting, and financial disbursement, while ensuring compliance and alignment with the programme's mission to drive positive conservation impact. You will work closely with grantees, providing strategic guidance and technical oversight to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
A key focus of this role is embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies across the programme. You will ensure that the programme sets a benchmark for inclusive conservation practices, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advance DEI initiatives. This will include leading training sessions, workshops, and campaigns to promote inclusive behaviours, as well as tracking progress through key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of DEI strategies.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in development and delivery of granting components, a strong understanding of DEI practices, and excellent communication and project management skills. Familiarity with international conservation issues and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders are essential.
This is a part-time role (26 hours per week), and we are happy to offer flexibility in how those hours are worked. The successful candidate can choose to spread their hours across three or four days per week, depending on what works best for them.
We operate a hybrid working model, with team members working from home part of the time. However, we ask that the successful candidate be based in the David Attenborough Building on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as these are our core office days. This is when the full team comes together for collaboration, workshops, and shared working time.
The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
