Your new role
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in helping students aged 11–16 feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. You’ll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and specialist practitioners to:
1. Build positive, trusting relationships with students
2. Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
3. Create a calm, nurturing environment that promotes learning
4. Provide in‑class support and targeted interventions
5. Model resilience, empathy, and consistency

What you'll need to succeed
We’d love to hear from you if:
6. You have recent experience (within the last three years) working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting OR
7. You have supported young people aged 11–16 in other environments (youth work, mentoring, residential care, sports coaching, alternative provision, etc.)
Most importantly, you bring:

9. A genuinemitment to supporting young people with additional needs
10. Strongmunication skills and emotional intelligence
11. A willingness to learn and grow within a trauma‑informed framework
