Location: Tobermore Concrete Products Ltd, 2 Lisnamuck Road, Tobermore
Due to business growth we require an additional Supervisor to join our existing Night Shift management team at a busy Production Facility. The Production Supervisor will report directly to the Production Manager.
As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for managing staff and factories on site, and safely produce high quality products.
We are looking for someone with previous industry supervisory/management experience, and leadership skills.

Shift details: 44 hours per week, 4 nights - Any 4 nights from Sunday (10pm - 6am) & Monday - Friday (6pm - 6am)
Induction Week: Your first week will be on days Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm approx.
Training: Will take place on day shift (Monday - Friday) for 3-6 months before moving to Night Shift.

About The Role
Job Summary
This is a key role in the business, managing your allocated production plants effectively to produce high quality products efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure targets are achieved as set out in the weekly production plan.
* Ensure products are always manufactured to the required quality and colour standard.
Safety
* Ensure all safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed as per instruction and training.
* Provide assistance and support to the Safety team in maintaining a high standard of safety within the factories to include carrying out workplace inspections, carry out relevant safety, hazard, isolation / lockout training when required.
* Complete permits to work when required.
* Complete environmental and safety checks as per instruction and training on OBBI.
* Complete accident, near miss and investigation reports when required.
* Complete return to works following staff absences.
* Always use machinery and equipment safely, efficiently and ensure you are manufacturing products to the designated cycle times.
People
* Ensure all employees, fitters, loading team and contractors, that are working in your department are working safely and following all company health and safety policies
* Be actively involved in people development by identifying any staff training needs along with the Team Leaders.
* Lead the team by example.
* Ensure Team Leaders are completing the relevant competency training guidelines with staff.
* Complete Probation meetings weekly with new starts, gaining feedback from the Team Leaders.
* Monitor staff time keeping and attendance, raising concerns where appropriate.
* Carry out staff welfare meetings with HR/H&S when required.
* Complete monthly one to one meeting with your team to review performance, discuss issues and agree action plans.
* Deal with people issues and use HR for support in line with instruction and training. Assist with investigation meetings where necessary.
Information & Communication
Provide information to the business as per instruction and training. This will include feedback on –
* Health & Safety
* Environmental
* Product quotas
* Quality
* Wastage
* Maintenance
* Feedback on CTG progress of new and existing employees
* Shift handover
* Problems & Solutions feedback
* Performance Management including probation reviews and one to one meetings.
* Employee relation investigations including absence management
* Recruitment
* Actively promote continuous improvement within the workplace.
* Actively promote the HEART values within the workplace.
Role
Due to the nature of the role – it is physically demanding therefore it is important to be aware that the role entails the following elements:
* Standing / walking throughout the shift.
* Lifting devises are available, however there is manual handling throughout the shift.
* Requirement to move safely in confined spaces. (Dependant on task)
* Safely climb ladders and work at heights.
* Use of hand arm vibration tools.
* Requirement to wear RPE (Dependant on task)
* Requirement to wear PPE during your shift.

Required Criteria
* 5 GCSE’s including English & Maths or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years previous experience of supervising or leading a team.
* Health & Safety experience within a supervisory role to include workplace inspections, carrying out work permits, completing accident reports when necessary.
* Proven track record of working in a Production / manufacturing / concrete industry.
* Proven track record and working knowledge of machinery.
* Knowledge & understanding of production targets and production cycle times.
* Experience of completing work related projects.
* Strong leadership ability. Strong decision making & delegation skills. Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and problem solve.
* Strong IT & administration skills. Self-motivated. Hardworking & Enthusiastic.
* Strong attention to detail. Communication and Interpersonal skills.

* Full Valid UK Driving licence.
* Flexible to support operational shift patterns (Working any 4 nights across Sunday to Friday night).
Desired Criteria
* NEBOSH qualification.
* Other relevant Production / Manufacturing qualifications or certifications (In-house or external).
* Mechanical / Engineering experience.
