Role:
1. Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
2. Compiling and presenting Management Accounts
3. Completing corporation tax and personal tax returns
4. Preparing and submitting VAT returns
5. Performing bookkeeping tasks using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
6. Assisting clients with general accounting queries and software-related support
7. Communicating directly with clients via phone and email
8. Reviewing junior staff’s work and providing mentorship and support as needed
9. Collaborating with senior accountants and managers to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
Skills & Experience Required:
10. At least 2 years’ experience working within a UK accountancy practice
11. AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA
12. Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and TaxCalc
13. Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
14. High level of accuracy and strong time management skills
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
16. Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines effectively
17. Familiarity with MTD compliance and cloud-based systems (preferred)
18. Experience supervising junior staff or trainees (preferred)
