We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Specialist Anatomical Pathology Technician with fantastic communication skills and a proactive approach to join our team in Mortuary Services. The successful candidate will need to have good mortuary experience and after initial training be able to take charge at one of the mortuary sites in the absence of the Mortuary Manager. The successful candidate will join the small but busy Mortuary Team.
The role is to provide a compassionate and customer focussed high quality mortuary service in conformance with the relevant legislation, code of practice and guidance to the Crown Office, local authorities, private organisations and individuals including bereaved relatives.Main duties of the job- The post-holder is responsible for assisting in the provision of the Mortuary Service Trust wide; there are three mortuaries within the Trust, Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St Mary’s.- Work in this area requires frequent exposure to highly distressing and emotive situations and in addition to periods of intense physical activity with the need to maintain concentration for long periods. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to organise and prioritise work is required.- There is the need to lone work and to also work well within a small team, sometimes under challenging circumstances.
