Overview
Our client, a large social housing contractor, is seeking a qualified Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void properties undertaking electrical fit outs. You will be responsible for replacing accessories, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades, installing fans, smoke detectors, full and partial rewiring, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports in domestic properties.
Responsibilities
* Install service and maintain electrical systems and appliances in domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
* Install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and fill in correctly the appropriate Electrical Certificate for the task.
* Excellent customer care qualities are vital to this role. Liaise with customers and clients daily.
* Manage and order van stock tailored to your requirements.
* Competent use of handheld PDAs to receive and complete job orders.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
* Ensure company H&S procedures are followed.
* Maintain a good basic understanding of site-based Health & Safety.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, City & Guilds 2361 Part 1 & 2).
* 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
* 2391 test and inspect.
* Driving licence.
Experience
* Previous experience in a customer service-based role is essential; experience within Social Housing is useful but not essential.
