Our industry-leading banking client is seeking a quantitative Python developer for a rolling contract within the IR35 framework.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Developing and maintaining Python code, particularly with Blackrock tools
* Contributing to the Model Risk Transformation Project, focusing on System and Tooling Workstream, including building a standard code library for risk management
* Collaborating between Market Risk and Credit Risk teams as a Quantitative Developer, focusing on Market Risk
* Building solutions from scratch, addressing IT challenges, and developing Python code
* Migrating existing libraries, adjusting methodologies, and optimizing processes
Skills Required:
* Proficiency in Python, especially with Blackrock tools
* Experience with numeric data processing using numpy and scipy
* Knowledge of databases such as sqlalchemy and psycopg
