About the Role
We are searching for a hands‑on and dynamic Workshop Manager to oversee all service and maintenance operations in our busy Banbury workshop. This vital Manager position is perfect for someone looking to positively impact a growing operation by driving efficiency and leading from the front.
Your Impact (Job Responsibilities)
* Lead and manage a team of fitters/technicians, including workload planning, mentoring, and performance reviews.
* Perform hands‑on diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and maintenance on plant equipment to manufacturer standards.
* Coordinate workshop operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, workflow, equipment readiness, and accurate service records.
* Manage parts, tools, and consumable stock levels, including supplier communication and cost control.
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and organised workshop.
* Oversee regulatory inspections (LOLER/PUWER) and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
* Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, equipment reliability, and service quality.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
