Do you want to be part of a team working on cutting-edge innovations that shape the future of air travel? If so, Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Engineer New Product Development (Composites) to join our composites team onsite in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.

What You Will Do
1. Develop composite solutions to complex problems by introducing innovative product designs and processes that enhance competitiveness, product quality, and performance.
2. Identify opportunities to improve organisational profitability and lead project proposals to deliver these improvements.
3. Research and introduce new materials, processes, and partner organisations to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.
4. Act as the key point of contact for Composites Engineering with customers and regulatory authorities on advanced methodologies.
5. Lead New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through development and prototyping to production.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional Composite Engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
7. Drive project direction to align with business goals and overall strategic objectives.
8. Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across sites and departments.
9. Lead and mentor engineers on new projects, ensuring industry standards and innovative approaches are applied effectively.
10. Ensure projects meet testing requirements while maintaining efficiency in weight, cost, and schedule.
11. Support additional business needs as required.

Essential Criteria
22. Minimum 2 years experience in a comparable professional role.
23. 1 Year's working experience in use of CAD
24. Third level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent.
Desirable Criteria
25. 3 Year’s working experience of composite production techniques & processes.
26. Experience of Aerospace procedures and regulations.
27. Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques
28. Experience in should costing of composites manufacturing processes and materials
29. Knowledge of GD&T
30. 1 year project management experience
