Overview
We are looking for a university student interested in a placement year in industry. You will design and conduct tests on fuel avionics and new fuels test benches and support our flight test analysis activities. The Fuel Avionics and New Fuels Test teams support the development and certification of test activities for the fuel systems on all Airbus programmes, with a focus on hydrogen and SAF topics. The test scope of the avionics function involves verifying system computers and main electronic equipment integration on avionic test benches. Our work also includes new, emerging technologies, with our new fuels test function aiding in the learnings required to bring these to future aircraft. We are a product-focused community with a history of delivering innovation to our company. As a team, we conduct development testing of new aircraft systems through agile test methods, help resolve in-service problems, and provide design feedback for future aircraft.
Responsibilities
* Support certification through integrated rig and flight testing and analysis;
* Establish and improve the maturity of aircraft systems through collaboration with other engineering teams;
* React to and help resolve in-service system issues;
* Aim for product safety beyond certification requirements;
* Implement synergies and alignment between rig and flight test.
Daily activities
* Agreement on Lab Test Requirements, definition and validation of test benches;
* System level testing of new fuel and landing gear functionality;
* In-service investigation by reproducing events on avionics benches;
* Preparing Lab Test Results Analysis.
Qualifications
* Studying towards a degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent;
* Excited by technical challenges and solving problems with interest in aerospace and zero emission technologies;
* Project management knowledge or interest;
* Skills in programming languages, data analysis, presenting and report writing;
* Committed to delivering on time;
* Good interpersonal skills and capable of working as a team and autonomously;
* Negotiation level of English both written and spoken;
* Nice to have awareness of aircraft systems;
* Knowledge of statistics, data science, experimental design and project management would be beneficial.
