Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and a passion for creating high-quality cabinetry and furniture. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of cabinets, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble cabinets according to specifications and design plans.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish wood materials.
* Perform joinery techniques to ensure strong and durable constructions.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on projects, including plumbing, electrical work, and masonry as needed.
* Conduct repairs and modifications on existing cabinetry as required.
* Assist in construction painting tasks to achieve the desired finish on cabinetry.
* Handle heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in cabinet making or a related field is essential.
* Strong skills in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, and use of hand tools.
* Familiarity with power tools commonly used in woodworking is required.
* Experience in roofing or other construction-related tasks is advantageous.
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, masonry, or electrical experience is a plus.
* Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg) safely and effectively.
* Excel a commitment to producing high-quality work.
