A wonderful opportunity to join a Commercial insurance office that is only going in one direction, with a book of commercial clients that is growing.
Due to the growth, the business is looking for a strong experienced Senior Insurance Broker, to ensure the same level of professional services are provided to Clients paying premiums between circa £50k and £100k GWP, and higher.
The business is part of a large UK and Global business, but local service and presence is key to delivery. A community broker at heart.
The Role
As a Senior Insurance Broker you will be :-
* Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, as their key adviser – by tele or email
* Work with the Client Executive to deal with any complex queries, working closely to ensure a joined up approach to client liaison
* Managing Commercial insurance queries across Property, Casualty, Commercial Combined and Motor Fleet, along with some ancillary covers. A strong level of expertise is desired across the core disciplines.
* Managing Commercial insurance clients paying premiums between £50k and £250k
* As a senior member of the team, to help with the ad hoc coaching of more junior staff – ad hoc.
Requirements of a Senior Insurance Broker
* This is largely an office-based role, close to Burnley
* As an experienced Senior Insurance Broker, you must have a minimum of 5 years core UK Commercial product knowledge
* Your background can be Commercial Underwriting or from a broker.
* You’ll be able to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels and should be used to using Word, Excel and be competent with Acturis (Or equivalent)
* You should also be confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels within a Broker and have a wider skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, sales, influencing and IT Skills
