Pharmacy Assistant – Aseptic Services

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (CCC) provides excellent cancer care to patients across North West England, North Wales and the Isle of Man. Our Liverpool site hosts inpatient services, a bone‑marrow transplant service and a teenage & young adult unit. The Pharmacy Production unit has recently obtained an MHRA specials licence and is developing batch production using VHP gassing Isolator technology.
Job Overview
We are looking for a Band 2 Pharmacy Assistant to join our large, diverse and friendly pharmacy team. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. over 4 days.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble and check all raw materials to be sent into designated clean rooms following standard operating procedures.
* Maintain asepsis in the clean room environment through good working practices.
* Participate in volume checking of colleagues within the sterile chemotherapy unit.
* Support ordering, receiving, rota and maintain all stocks within the department.
* Compile documentation for quality control and quality assurance to adhere to licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
* Pass in GCSE English, Maths and either Science or an equivalent.
* Will be enrolled onto the NVQ II Pharmacy Services or equivalent to progress further in the role.
