Mental Health Support Worker
Job Type: Full-time | Monday – Friday | Term-time Only
Location: Newcastle & North Tyneside

Your Role as a Mental Health Support Worker:

11. Support KS3 and KS4 students with mental health and emotional well-being challenges.

12. Provide 1:1 support for students with SEND or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.

13. Assist in personalized progress plans designed to help each student thrive.

14. Collaborate with teachers to create a positive, safe learning environment.

15. Build trusting, meaningful relationships with both students and staff, becoming a pillar of support in their school community.

16. Be there when students need someone to talk to, offering empathy, understanding, and guidance.

Requirements:

17. A deep passion for mental health and supporting young people (no prior experience required).

18. Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
