Job Title: General Teaching Assistant
Location: L23, Liverpool
Salary: £101.40 per day and CPD courses
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities.
2. Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom materials.
3. Work with small groups or individual pupils to support learning, both in and outside of the classroom.
4. Help to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships.
5. Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities as required.
6. Support children with additional needs, including those with SEND, under the direction of the teacher or SENCO.
7. Maintain a safe and clean learning environment, in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
8. Provide general administrative support, such as photocopying and record-keeping.
Person Specification:
9. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
12. Reliable, patient, and flexible in approach.
13. Experience working in a school setting or with children (desirable but not essential).
14. Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are an advantage.
