Job summary
Join our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive paediatric occupational therapy services for children in educational settings presenting with developmental concerns.
Work with children and their families in educational, children's centre, and other appropriate settings, including virtual appointments.
Contribute to the organisation, planning, and development of the occupational therapy service for this care group.
Participate in setting care standards, monitoring service quality, and managing referral and waiting times.
Must own a car, hold a full clean driving licence, and have appropriate insurance.
The SEND Paediatric Occupational Therapy team is well-established, friendly, and dynamic, committed to offering excellent services. Integrated working across education, social care, and health is well-developed. We offer training, regular supervision, and appraisals.
Main duties of the job
Conduct occupational therapy assessments, diagnose clinically, and formulate and implement treatment plans using specialist knowledge. Interpret clinical facts with advanced reasoning to diagnose a wide range of conditions and recommend interventions.
Practitioners at Band 7 possess critical awareness of knowledge issues and are responsible for developing practice/services in complex environments. They are experienced professionals with high-level skills and may have management responsibilities.

Qualifications (Essential):
* Occupational Therapy Degree/Diploma
* HPC Registration
* Relevant Post Graduation training
Experience (Essential):
* 2-3 years post-grad experience with paediatrics
* Report writing experience
* MDT experience
* IT skills
* Neurological conditions experience
* Sensory integration qualification
Circumstances (Essential):
* Car driver and able to travel to different sites
