Job Details
* Salary: Grade 4 / SCP 6–7, (£25,989 – £26,403 FTE). Pro‑rate £22,453.72 – £22,811.41 depending on years of service.
* Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, term time only (38 pupil weeks + 5 days when students are not in school).
* Contract: Permanent.
* Start Date: 01.09.2026.
School Context
Queenscroft High School (Part of Primitas Learning Partnership) is a 200‑place secondary special school for students aged 11‑19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). It is one of the largest special schools in the area, drawing pupils from Lichfield, Rugeley, Tamworth, Cannock, Stafford and surrounding areas. The school offers a range of Special Educational Needs with a focus on cognition, learning, communication and interaction. It has 3 classes per year group in KS3 and KS4, with class sizes between 8 and 14. Students progress through three pathways to achieve a range of accreditations, including AQA unit awards, Entry level certificates, BTECs, NOCN Awards, Vocational Awards and GCSEs.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively as part of the whole‑school team to support the teaching and learning of pupils.
* Positive role‑model skills and behaviours, upholding the vision and values of the school.
* Work under the direction, instruction and supervision of the responsible teacher either in the classroom or in the wider school community, working with groups or individual pupils.
* Assist in providing care, safety and welfare of pupils.
