Our client is a leading manufacturing company, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a charismatic, driven engineer with hands to build on success and improvements.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Operate, program, and optimise CNC machines and robotic systems to support production and quality targets.
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance, minimising machine downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.
* Support new product introduction and continuous improvement of machining processes.
* Conduct safety checks and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, general maintenance, and in:house part manufacturing.
* Lead by example, supporting and training team members while promoting a clean, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Hands:on experience in mechanical maintenance, fitting, or assembly, with basic electrical knowledge preferred.
* Skilled in using hand tools, workshop equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
* Familiar with CNC/robot programming (e.g. XYZ) and able to interpret technical instructions accurately.
* Strong understanding of safety practices and maintenance documentation.
* Reliable, detail:oriented, and proactive with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication, computer literacy, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
