What does participating in the Collins Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice Programme involve?
This scheme is aimed at highly motivated individuals eager to be part of a world leader in aerospace and defence. It supports the career development of apprentices involved in manufacturing civil and military aircraft.
The role is based at our Collins Aerospace Composite Center of Excellence in Banbury, UK, formerly Crompton Technology Group, which designs and manufactures aerospace composite products for military and commercial use.
We seek high-calibre degree apprentices to support Actuation Systems through effective planning and execution of Manufacturing Engineering activities. We believe in intelligence and partnership to advance aerospace innovation.

Development and training to build your career
Our five-year degree apprenticeship, in partnership with the University of Warwick, covers key engineering principles such as Materials & Manufacturing Processes, Computer-Aided Design, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Systems, and Digital Engineering Lifecycle. Upon completion, you'll earn a BEng in Applied Professional Engineering.
What are we looking for?
Applicants should have:
* Minimum of 3 A Levels at BBB or above, including Mathematics and a STEM subject, or equivalent BTECs (Physics recommended)
* At least 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including Mathematics, English, and Science
* UK residency for at least 3 years
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good personal management and self-organization skills
* Effective written and verbal communication skills

Application Process
Applications will be reviewed via various selection methods, ending at an assessment centre. Early application is advised as opportunities are filled quickly. The apprenticeship begins in August 2025. Eligibility to work in the UK is required, and some projects may require security vetting.
