Senior Matrimonial Solicitor - Belfast
The Opportunity
We are delighted to be working with a well-established Belfast law firm to recruit a Senior Family Solicitor to lead and manage its growing family law department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE to take ownership of a busy family law practice, including high-value and complex cases, while shaping the strategic direction of the department.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of family law matters including private client disputes, divorce, custody, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and financial settlements, providing significant leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

The Role
You will:
* Lead the family law department
* Act on complex family law matters including divorce, custody, guardianship, financial settlements, and international cases
* Build and maintain client relationships and develop new business opportunities
* Manage departmental workflow and ensure consistent quality and compliance in case handling
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum of 5 years' PQE in family law
* Experience leading a team or supervising junior solicitors preferred
* Strong advocacy experience in County or High Court family proceedings
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage competing priorities
