Summary

PMO Officer - Programme Management Officer

What you'll do

As a PMO Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of Notting Hill Genesis' (NHG) change portfolio and services. Reporting to the PMO Manager, you'll help drive continuous improvement in project delivery by analysing data, maintaining project controls, producing insightful reports, and embedding governance best practice across the organisation.

You'll be at the heart of our Programme Management Office - supporting the delivery of transformation initiatives, providing assurance on progress and benefits realisation, and helping us achieve excellence in how we deliver change.

How you'll do it

* Analyse and report on project data to identify trends, risks, and lessons learned through project health checks and reviews.
* Produce and distribute portfolio reports and dashboards for key stakeholders, maximising use of our project management reporting tools.
* Support portfolio and project management systems, assisting with system administration, continuous improvement, and user adoption.
* Monitor project controls including progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure consistent quality and adherence to frameworks and standards.
* Collaborate with project managers and teams, offering support, guidance, and solutions to project challenges.
* Oversee project documentation, maintaining accurate records, plans, and reports.
* Assist with risk and issue management, promoting proactive identification and mitigation.
* Champion best practice, promoting process improvement, training sessions, and sharing knowledge across NHG.
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and project delivery frameworks.

Hybrid working applies - typically two days per week in the office, with flexibility depending on organisational needs.

Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality analysis and reporting to support programme governance and assurance.
* Help embed project management standards and continuous improvement across NHG.
* Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support project success and benefit realisation.
* Provide administrative and operational support to ensure PMO effectiveness and efficiency.
* Contribute to the development of PMO processes, templates, and tools.

The ideal candidate

We're looking for a proactive, detail-focused individual with a passion for project delivery and organisational improvement.

Essential:

* Experience in a PMO or similar project environment.
* Strong analytical skills - able to interpret and present data clearly.
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Proficiency with project management and Microsoft Office tools.
* Understanding of project management best practices and governance.

Desirable:

* PMO or project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, P3O).

Behaviours for success

You'll live our values and bring them to life through your work:

* Compassionate - understanding and empathetic to the challenges faced by teams and customers.
* Progressive - committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
* Dependable - delivering high-quality outcomes and meeting commitments.
* Inclusive - encouraging collaboration and valuing diverse perspectives.
* Empowered - taking ownership and driving better ways of working.

What's in it for you

Once you join us, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow within NHG.

You'll also have access to a wide range of learning and development options to help you achieve your career goals.

Benefits include:

* Excellent annual leave allowance and flexible working opportunities
* Generous pension scheme
* Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay (qualifying period may apply)
* Employee assistance programme - free confidential advice and counselling
* Health cash plan
* Staff discounts across retailers, gyms, restaurants, and entertainment venues
* Interest-free loans (season ticket, tenancy deposit, and training loans)
* Cycle to work scheme
* Life Assurance - 4x annual salary
