Locum Consultant Radiologist with interest Urology/Gynaecology Imaging

Location: Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The post covers general radiology and Urology and Gynaecology imaging.
Primary location: Queen's/King George Hospital, Romford with rota at Barking CDC and St George's CDC at Hornchurch.
Main duties
* Share office space and secretarial support with another colleague; access to a PACS reporting station.
* Report MRI prostate and MRI pelvis for women's imaging.
* Perform ultrasound renal and pelvis including transvaginal approach.
* Report cross‑sectional images for general radiology on the MRI and CT scanners at the CDC centres, King George's and Queen's Hospital.
* Contribute to the general duty roster and hot reporting sessions.
* Contribute to specialist MDTs with other colleagues in rotation.
* Participate regularly in mandatory department meetings.
* Share an on‑call commitment equally with the general radiology consultants.
* Have a remote reporting workstation for on‑call purposes.

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate is expected to report a range of general cross‑sectional imaging and will play a key role in the imaging and reporting of MRI prostate scans using the Likert scoring system, ensuring high‑quality and standardised assessment for patients undergoing prostate cancer evaluation. Proficiency in MRI gynaecology imaging, including the assessment of pelvic malignancies, endometriosis and fibroids, is essential. It is desirable that the candidate has experience in performing transvaginal or transanal ultrasound. The successful candidate will be expected to attend and contribute to weekly Urology and Gynaecology MDT meetings, ensuring collaborative decision‑making and optimal patient care.
Shortlisting Criteria
* Fellowship Royal College of Radiologists
* Fellowship in body imaging/ equivalent experience at consultant level
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
* Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)/ CCT date is within six months of interview OR Holder of specialist registration via CESR/ portfolio pathway route
* Fellowship in body/ abdominal imaging or equivalent relevant experience in urology and gynaecology imaging.
