The Client: Oil Field Services Client

UK Mechanical qualification or apprenticeship is required.


Title: Mechanical Assembler/Technician (mechanical equipment, wireline, pressure control)

Pay Rate: £17.26 - £18.25 per hour

Night Shift Allowance: £32.01 - £34.33 per hour

Positions: 2

Location: Inverurie

Duration: 6 months - potential permanent role if all goes well in the contract

Rotating day/night shift:

1. First 1 to 2 months will be day shift only.
2. Afterwards, rotating every 2 weeks.

Day shift: Mon-Thu 07.30-15.30, Fri 07.30-14.30

Night shift: Mon-Wed 19.00-05.30 & Thu 19.00-04.30


Job Description:

As Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for safely and accurately assembling and testing new WPCE products, pressure testing, and handling all accessories used with this equipment. You will support and improve assembly processes through specific techniques, innovative ideas, and creative problem-solving. You will also support your colleagues, report safety issues, and participate in safety initiatives. High-quality work is essential, aiming for first-time right, on-time delivery.


Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble equipment accurately.
2. Manufacture hydraulic systems according to designs, maintaining cleanliness.
3. Adhere to inspection and quality criteria, assisting team members and reporting issues.
4. Follow work instructions provided by the Cell leader.
5. Monitor materials and detect defects or faults.
6. Maintain quality and quantity of production and an organized workspace (5S).
7. Support initiatives like on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and quality improvement.
8. Generate and implement improvement ideas, encouraging team participation.
9. Train workers in job-related skills.
10. Enforce safety and quality regulations.
11. Support NCR reporting and process improvements.
12. Attend daily team meetings and actively participate.
13. Identify technical issues, seek support, and propose solutions.
14. Report quality issues and assist in eliminating non-conformance.
15. Implement process improvements and streamline manufacturing efficiencies.
16. Participate in toolbox talks and cover shifts as needed.
17. Promote company policies, including health & safety, quality, and housekeeping.
18. Complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
19. Adhere to 5S principles and other company policies.
20. Perform additional duties as required by the line manager.
