Legal Recruitment Consultant — 360° | Middlesbrough Hybrid | Permanent | Competitive Salary + Uncapped Commission
The Opportunity
We're a well-established, multi-sector recruitment agency with deep roots in the Teesside region — and we're growing. Due to sustained demand across the legal market, we're expanding our dedicated legal desk and looking for an experienced recruitment consultant who's ready to make their mark.
This is a true 360° billing role within a team culture built on long-lasting, genuine business relationships. You'll benefit from a well-regarded agency brand, an existing network to leverage from day one, state-of-the-art offices and the latest recruitment technology to support your billings.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Running a full 360° desk across the legal sector, managing the complete recruitment cycle end-to-end
2. Winning new clients through targeted business development: calls, meetings, networking and market intelligence
3. Developing and nurturing existing client relationships, becoming a trusted talent partner for their hiring needs
4. Sourcing, attracting and engaging high-calibre legal candidates through modern sourcing tools and headhunting
5. Managing the full interview and offer process, ensuring a premium experience for both clients and candidates
6. Building your own market knowledge and personal brand within the legal sector across the North East and beyond
What We're Looking For
7. Proven experience as a recruitment consultant, ideally with exposure to legal or professional services markets
8. A demonstrable track record of billing, with experience on both the candidate and client sides of the desk
9. Confident and credible in business development — comfortable picking up the phone, attending client meetings and closing deals
10. A relationship-first mindset; you invest in people, not just transactions
11. Resilient, self-motivated and commercially driven with a hunger to grow your earnings
12. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly at all levels
