Job Specification: Marketing & Communications Executive
Permanent contract, part-time.
8 hours per week
Purpose of Role
To support, manage, and deliver Hartley Law’s marketing, communications, and public relations strategy, ensuring consistent brand messaging and increased visibility across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and maintain the firm’s marketing strategy and ensuring alignment with the firm’s vision and objectives.
* Update, manage and optimise the firm’s WordPress website.
* Manage all relevant social media channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
* Oversee and implement search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies.
* Design, propose and deliver new digital and online marketing initiatives.
* Write, edit and proofread marketing content for campaigns, the website, social media, blogs, newsletters, and email communications.
* Filming and editing work, for reels, short videos, podcast.
* Organise and support firm and client events.
* Strengthen and promote the firm’s brand across social media, media outlets, forums, blogs, and online directories.
* Create and publish engaging, relevant content such as blogs, social posts, and other digital communications.
* Design and produce marketing materials for campaigns, including videos, online promotions, and digital assets.
* Draft and publish press releases to approved third parties.
* Research and build relationships with relevant journalists, publications, and organisations.
* Prepare and draft submissions for awards and other external opportunities.
* Work collaboratively with charity partners, other B Corps and internal and external stakeholders of the firm.
About You
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), WordPress, Canva, InDesign, Photoshop or similar graphic and video software.
* Strong organisation skills, ability to deliver projects and results within set timescales.
* High attention to detail.
* Creativity and passion to do things differently.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Practical experience in writing marketing and communications content.
* Active and relevant experience with managing and growing social media channels.
* A high level of professionalism, integrity and respect for confidentiality and the firm’s values.
