Behaviour Assistant
Fantastic pay rates between 444.60-529.45, per week!
Monarch Education is actively recruiting, in collaboration with an academy trust in Bristol, for enthusiastic Behaviour Mentors, ideally with experience or a passion for special Educational needs, to work in client Special Educational Needs Schools. The schools are located across the Bristol area.
These exciting opportunities are both full-time and long-term. The school settings are friendly and culturally have a family-oriented environment, offering support and guidance. The hours vary from 8:00-16:45 (depending on the school), Monday to Friday and term time only.
The schools are ideally looking for behaviour mentors who understand and have experience working with special educational needs, with children or adults. For the right candidate, this position will go permanent, starting ASAP/September 2025.
In these environments, you will support students aged 2-16+ with various SEND needs, including autism, global delay, profound multiple learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and social emotional mental health needs. You will support students alongside classroom teachers to boost attainment and aid their social and educational development. You will help maintain discipline according to school procedures and encourage good practice with pupils.
Suitable candidates can be any of the following:
* Qualified Teaching Assistants
* Experience with speech and language therapy for children or adults
* Experience as a probation officer
* Healthcare or support/social work experience
* Graduates in Acting, Music, Performing Arts, Psychology
* Previous SEND Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant experience
* 3-6 months experience working with children
* Sports coach background
* Available to start full-time, ASAP/December 2024

* A genuine interest in SEN and supporting pupils with additional needs
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude towards challenging situations
* Willingness to learn new skills and strategies to support SEND students
