Overview
To ensure the continued delivery of high-quality oncological care and contribute to the further development of the service. The appointee will be Lead Oncologist for Breast Clinical Oncology and Colorectal Clinical Oncology and share responsibility for the treatment and management of colorectal cancers with Dr Morton‑Gittens.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage breast and colorectal oncology services.
* Maintain and enhance multidisciplinary management of patients with these malignancies.
* Increase entry of patients into clinical trials.
* Expand service as required to meet patient needs.
Development & Improvement
* Contribute to service improvement programmes such as GIRFT and Cost Improvement Programme (CIP).
* Implement evidence‑based new ways of working when necessary.
* Encourage consultants to apply for fellowship of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management.
