You will be joining an organisation in the West Midlands to contribute to the delivery of high-quality strategic planning for Adult Care and Support, developing a comprehensive understanding of local needs for care and support, capacity in the local care market, and workforce sustainability.
Your new role
1. Production of commissioning Intentions to capture trends in needs, demand, and market capacity.
2. Deliver and maintain a Market Position Statement to indicate to the market the organisation's commissioning intentions.
3. Produce or contribute to commissioning strategies and plans, ensuring timely delivery and with full regard for quality, value for money, and customer satisfaction.
4. Lead meetings of partners to ensure that delivery plans for strategies are progressed and that the impact being made is understood.
5. Lead on the production of business cases and development of options appraisals to inform decision-making for the commissioning of services for adults with care and support needs.
6. Contribute and participate in management and duty rota.
7. Lead the commissioning of new services, ensuring the active engagement of people who use services in their design, monitoring, and review.
8. Work closely with corporate technical experts to apply appropriate specialist support at all stages of the commissioning cycle, including data analysis, finance, procurement, legal, and communications.
9. Apply evidence and best practice to improve outcomes for people and gather local evidence to support continued investment in commissioned services.
10. Oversee designated commissioning projects using project management methodology, ensuring they are delivering against time, cost, and quality, and steer reports through project governance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have commissioning experience as well as knowledge of the Adult Social Care sector. You will be required to attend the organisation's office once a fortnight, which is based in Solihull.
What you'll get in return
This role is a temporary position, offering from £400 per day with weekly pay.
