SEND Teaching Assistant - Bromley Learning Support Assistant Location: Bromley Trust Pay Rate: From £90 per day Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4 PM) Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join Primary or Secondary PRU in Bromley. This role involves providing 1:1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage with their learning and develop positive behaviours. Candidates with outgoing and energetic personalities would be benificial. The Role: ✅ Providing 1:1 and small group support to secondary-aged students with SEMH needs ✅ Assisting with behaviour management and implementing de-escalation strategies ✅ Building strong relationships with students to foster trust and engagement ✅ Supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils ✅ Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions The Ideal Candidate Will Have: ✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) ✔ Experience working with SEMH students or challenging behaviour (preferred) ✔ A passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning ✔ Strong communication and behaviour management skills ✔ The ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in challenging situations This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young people who need extra support and guidance.
