Job Description:
We are looking for a Product Owner to join the team to lead the technical development, optimisation, and administration of various platforms within the Atlassian Williams Racing Vehicle Performance and Dynamics department. They will act as the link between the Vehicle Performance and Dynamics department and the Technology and Innovation Group (TIG). The Product Owner will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand challenges and work with TIG to design and implement solutions. They will also ensure the current state of technology development is visible to the business.
Main responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain a map of current and future workflows of the Vehicle Performance and Dynamics department.
2. Capture capability gaps from stakeholders and convert these into product definitions for prioritization.
3. Maintain communication within TIG and the wider business regarding progress and priorities.
4. Represent the business in TIG discussions to align technology development with manufacturing and operations needs.
5. Lead feature releases and manage communication and feedback.
6. Collaborate with the product team to deliver cross-functional requirements efficiently.
7. Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders on product issues, ideas, or requirements.
Skills and experience required:
1. Experience owning products in complex multidisciplinary environments.
2. Product ownership qualifications (e.g., CSPO) preferred.
3. Experience in business analysis and requirement gathering.
4. Project management skills.
5. Understanding of modern software environments, including Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and data strategies.
6. Knowledge of F1 vehicle performance and dynamics technology needs.
7. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
8. Experience with agile methodologies preferred.
9. Autonomous working within strategic frameworks.
10. Technical troubleshooting skills beyond immediate expertise.
11. Understanding of manufacturing processes and testing methods.
12. Broad IT landscape knowledge.
13. Strong stakeholder management skills.
