This role is ideal for someone who can take initiative, anticipate student needs, and confidently manage behaviour, helping to create calm, focused, and positive learning environments every day ✨
The Role:
As a Support Staff member, you will be a visible, proactive presence across the school, supporting students both in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities may include:
* Proactively supporting students during lessons and transitions
* Working 1:1 and with small groups to maintain engagement
* Confidently managing behaviour and de-escalating situations calmly and effectively
* Anticipating challenges and stepping in early to prevent disruption
* ❤️ Providing firm but fair pastoral support
* Helping create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
⭐ The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for someone who:
* Is highly proactive and able to take initiative without constant direction
* Has strong behaviour management skills and can set clear boundaries
* Remains calm, consistent, and confident in challenging situations
* Communicates clearly with staff and students
* Works collaboratively as part of a wider team
* Is fully committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
✨ Experience supporting challenging behaviour, SEN, EAL, or pastoral needs is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
