Broadcast Content Metadata Researcher (Fully Remote - Full-Time) About the role You love TV — all of it. From glossy dramas to late-night teleshopping, you're curious, enthusiastic, and tuned into the world of streaming and television, where the weird and wonderful collide. You know your genres and can tell the difference between a blockbuster and a hidden gem, a horror and a thriller, an anime and a claymation classic. If you think The Bear, Slow Horses, The Traitors and Homes Under the Hammer all deserve more love, you're in good company. This is your chance to turn that passion into a career. You’ll join a small, specialist team of editors, engineers and product people who track what’s on and where — across broadcast, catch-up and streaming platforms. The data we manage helps the UK TV industry understand what’s being watched. We’re after someone with a sharp eye and a clear, friendly communication style — someone who loves order, digs into details, and works well with others. You’ll enrich and verify TV metadata using spreadsheets, tools and online sources. The work suits someone confident with digital systems and comfortable handling information that requires precision. You don’t need a specific degree or job history. This is not a technical role but if you’re someone with experience in broadcast or media environments, content tagging, research, or anything that combines precision with people skills, you’ll fit right in. We’re also looking for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative setting but is equally comfortable working independently, as this is a remote role. You’ll be open to working with new technologies — including AI — and bring your own thoughtful opinions to the table, while knowing when to adapt and move forward as a team. At MetaBroadcast, we build things that power a big part of UK television — without acting like a big company. We stay small so everyone has a voice and real impact. You'll join a thoughtful, supportive team that values collaboration, curiosity, and doing things well. Sounds like your kind of gig? We'd love to hear from you. Read about our recruiting process and apply via guy@metabroadcast.com. Smallprint summary Full-time, fully remote role. Reports to the Head of Department. We are a small team with a horizontal hierarchy: just one team, no bureaucracy. There’ll be a 3-month probationary period. You will work with everyone equally, as an equal, with the same tools and processes. Everyone strives for excellence daily and takes pride in impacting the lives of millions. We are ready for you to start immediately. About MetaBroadcast MetaBroadcast is a specialist in metadata management for media organisations, aggregating metadata from various sources.
