Protocol Education are looking for enthusiastic students and graduates to support pupils from Reception to Year 6, through phonics and intervention groups in primary schools across Bristol.
If you’re studying, recently graduated, or simply curious about a future in education, psychology, or pastoral care, this is a brilliant way to get stuck in and make a real difference at a key moment in a child’s school journey.
Roles available:
Teaching Assistant, Phonics Specialist, Intervention Support, 1:1 Tutor, Behaviour Support and more.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
* Boosting confidence in core areas like phonics, reading, maths and SPaG
* Helping children stay calm, focused, and motivated
* Reinforcing positive routines classroom readiness
* Working closely with teachers to deliver targeted intervention to those pupils who ened it most
We’re looking for:
* Graduates or those keen to gain school-based experience
* A calm, patient approach, especially under pressure
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
* Confidence supporting pupils who may feel anxious or need encouragement
* A genuine interest in helping children succeed
Pay & benefits:
* £14.30–£15 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE

* A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
* Two years of references (education, childcare, voluntary or youth work)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
