Advanced Delivery Team Lawyer (2-5 years PQE)

Leading global law firm is looking to hire an Associate level lawyer to join their Advanced Delivery Teams. The role can be based in London or Edinburgh, with hybrid working options. Candidates should have a background in commercial law; no prior experience in legal technology or specific technical skills is required. Full training will be provided on all aspects of technology.
Role Profile:
The Advanced Delivery Team sells and delivers technology-led legal services to clients across various sectors including financial services, energy, construction, and infrastructure.
This exciting role offers the opportunity to develop modern legal skills, work with cutting-edge technology, and collaborate across UK and international offices in multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, technology-driven projects. These services utilize people, process, and technology to provide 'new law' services.
The team also contributes to the firm's strategic priorities, such as mass claims and remediations for financial services clients. Recent projects include:
* Designing and deploying a bespoke PPI remediation solution for an international insurer.
* Creating a document automation application for an international development bank.
* Developing a contract negotiation database for an energy client.
* Providing innovation training to financial services and other clients.
* Hosting innovation roundtables for senior in-house lawyers.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support senior team members and expert lawyers by deploying innovative, technology-led client solutions.
* Identify and evaluate new opportunities for technology deployment, collaborating with client relationship teams and business development colleagues.
* Assist in preparing bids and proposals for technology solutions.
* Create resources and materials for client discussions on technology solutions.
* Participate in client pitches, bids, and presentations.
* Support the development, testing, and deployment of technology solutions, including problem finding, scoping, and testing.
* Help scope, map, and price solutions and assist in piloting new platforms.
* Present to students and trainees on innovation topics.
* Attend industry events to stay updated on legal innovation trends and network with industry participants.
Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience in a commercial law firm; experience with financial or infrastructure clients is advantageous but not essential.
* Show interest or experience in legal technology and innovation.
* Be collaborative, able to build strong relationships in an agile environment.
* Possess strong technical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
* Have persuasive communication and people management skills, including pitching and presenting.
* Be capable of managing projects efficiently.
* Have strong drafting and oral presentation skills.
* Be confident working in multidisciplinary teams and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
