Job Description
3. Act as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries
4. Provide practical, day-to-day HR advice across the employee lifecycle
5. Lead on Employee Relations cases including disciplinaries and grievances
6. Support investigations, performance management and absence issues
7. Operate confidently within a unionised environment
8. Coach and influence line managers on people matters
9. Ensure accurate maintenance of HR systems and people data
10. Monitor and support reporting on key HR metrics
11. Collaborate with HR Partners, Leads and wider People teams
12. Apply policies consistently to support business and employee outcomes
The Successful Applicant
A successful part-time HR Advisor should have:
13. Proven experience in Employee Relations case management
14. Confidence handling sensitive and complex people issues
15. Experience working in a unionised or regulated environment
16. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
17. A practical, solutions-focused HR approach
18. CIPD qualification or progress toward accreditation
19. Strong organisational and time-management skills
20. Clear, professional communication style
21. Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
22. Ability to work onsite and collaboratively as part of a wider HR team
