Support Worker – Home-Based Support
Location: Bury
Shifts Available: Full-time, Part-time & Flexible
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (weekly pay)
Precedo Healthcare is recruiting a compassionate and skilled FEMALE Support Worker to provide dedicated support to a young woman living at home with her family. She may display behaviours that challenge and has a history of self-harm, so this role requires patience, understanding, and a calm approach.
You will support her in and out of the home, help maintain a safe and positive environment, and encourage engagement with activities and the local community. This role focuses on emotional support, guidance, and fostering independence in a safe, structured way.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide emotional support and guidance in the home and community
* Promote a safe, structured, and positive environment
* Respond calmly to behaviours that may challenge
* Encourage social engagement, hobbies, and community access
* Maintain accurate records and follow support plans
* Work closely with the family and any professionals involved
Requirements
* Minimum 6 months’ UK Support Worker experience (within last 3 years)
* Experience supporting individuals with self-harm risk or challenging behaviour
* Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with families/professionals
