Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Science to join our dynamic Science, Health & Humanities Directorate. As a Lecturer in Science, you will:
* Deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 Science programmes, as well as Access to HE Science & Health Professions pathways
* Develop learning materials aligned to awarding-body requirements (OCR, Pearson, CAVA)
* Provide academic and pastoral support as a Personal Tutor
* Offer constructive, meaningful feedback that helps students progress and succeed
* Support learners with work placements, work-related activities and enrichment
* Contribute to curriculum design, development and continuous quality improvement
* Participate in open evenings, school liaison, employer engagement and wider College events.

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Qualified to degree level (or higher) in a Science discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Biomedical Science
* Experienced in the science industry and/or successful teaching practice
* Skilled at communicating with diverse groups of learners
* Creative, adaptable and passionate about helping young people thrive
* Digitally confident, with experience using VLEs and Microsoft Office
* Knowledgeable about current teaching and learning strategies
* Committed to safeguarding, inclusivity and delivering high-quality learning
* A teaching qualification (Level 5 or higher) is desirable, but we welcome applicants willing to work towards it
