Overview
We are representing our client, a respected multidisciplinary construction consultancy, in their search for a Technical Coordinator / Programme Manager to join their Sevenoaks office. This role plays a central part in coordinating multi‑project programmes, supporting project delivery teams, and ensuring high‑quality outcomes for clients across fire safety, surveying, engineering and wider consultancy services. It combines project coordination, programme oversight, documentation management and client communication, making it ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and experience in construction, engineering or fire safety environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare fee proposals and cost estimates by coordinating quotations from external contractors and suppliers, reviewing project scope and compiling proposal documentation.
* Set up and initiate new projects following client instruction, including creating project records, confirming scope and organising internal documentation.
* Request, obtain and manage client documentation such as drawings, building information, fire strategies and supporting materials, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Provide coordination support to internal teams — project managers, surveyors, fire engineers and fire risk assessors — ensuring they have the information and logistical support required.
* Organise and schedule fire engineers and fire risk assessors, coordinating site visits, inspections and surveys, managing availability and ensuring all required documentation is provided.
* Monitor project progress and maintain client trackers, ensuring milestones, deadlines and deliverables are accurately recorded and regularly updated.
* Act as a key liaison between clients, internal teams and external contractors, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide regular project updates to clients, including progress reports, timeline updates and notifications of changes to scope or delivery requirements.
* Proactively identify potential scheduling or documentation issues and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them.
* Carry out final quality assurance checks on all reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company procedures, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Lead the management and delivery of multi‑project programmes across the consultancy’s service areas, ensuring consistency and high‑quality outcomes.
* Support Directors in overseeing programme delivery, managing risk, performance and client relationships, ensuring alignment with strategic programme objectives.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated consultancy services.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Previous experience in technical coordination, project management or a similar role within engineering, construction or fire safety.
* Familiarity with contractor engagement, procurement processes and project delivery workflows.
* Knowledge of fire safety, risk assessment and regulatory requirements (advantageous).
* Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, contractors and internal teams.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting and project tracking.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
