We are partnering with a secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team from April or September 2026. This role is open to full-time or part-time candidates, making it a great opportunity for experienced teachers or ECTs to deliver engaging, practical lessons in a supportive department.
The Role:
* Plan and deliver Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teach practical cooking skills, nutrition, food science, and health & safety
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safe working practices
* Assess, track, and support student progress
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with departmental staff and wider school teams
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status
* Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology or a related field
* Confident managing practical lessons in a busy classroom environment
* Organised, with excellent classroom management skills
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to student progress
* Previous experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level is advantageous
