Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:The School of Design and Creative Arts is seeking to recruit a new colleague to undertake an academic role across research, teaching and enterprise in the area of Fashion. The School has recently expanded into the Fashion domain, building on our UK leading Textiles experience, and is particularly interested in candidates with broad experience in fashion design and technology including creative design concepts, garment development, ergonomics, digital innovation and sustainability. Due to the cross- and inter-disciplinary nature of our work we are interested in hearing from applicants with a broad and adaptable skillset able to support our BA Fashion Design and technology Programme. Key Requirements: To be a collegiate and respectful colleague capable of working across design and creative arts disciplines in a rich and vibrant community or researchers and practitionersTo have a developed or developing research background in a relevant domain able to contribute to the School’s world leading researchTo have teaching experience, ideally at a Higher education levelTo able to teach and inspire students across a range of fashion design and fashion technology modules. Knowledge and skills in fashion technology, digital innovation, pattern making and garment construction, fashion business and management, including sustainable product development, are essential.
