Role overview
Reporting directly to the Head of Planning and Logistics, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Planner to join our team and help with the growth and evolution of ADM. The successful candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the key objectives of the role are achieved.
Duties & Key Deliverables
* The Production Planner is responsible for developing robust, realistic, and executable operational plans based on material availability and production capacity. Working closely with the Production team, the role coordinates and controls the flow of work through all stages of the manufacturing process — including Press, Laser, Flat Bed, Fabrication, Paint Line, and Assembly — ensuring effective capacity alignment, controlled work-in-progress levels, material availability, and on-time delivery to customers.
* Support and drive initiatives to achieve KPI targets focused on reducing inventory levels and overall supply chain costs.
* Monitor and maintain appropriate safety stock levels across key stages of the manufacturing process.
* Monitor customer schedule inputs within SAP and conduct overall capacity analysis to ensure production plan readiness and achievement of OTIF (On-Time In-Full) targets.
* Collaborate with production teams to manage capacity in alignment with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across all business areas.
* Agree and maintain inventory value in line with the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process, in collaboration with the Purchasing Team, ensuring KPI targets are met while maintaining steady raw material flow.
* Take ownership of production schedule adherence and ensure on-time delivery performance to assigned customers.
* Manage stock levels to support Purchasing in procuring materials aligned with the production plan.
* Identify and introduce cost-saving initiatives and process improvements, promoting lean manufacturing principles.
* Maintain awareness of New Product Introductions (NPI) and assess planning implications including BOMs (Bills of Materials), routing structures, work centres, and capacity requirements.
* Demonstrate advanced understanding and practical experience with MRP systems and BOM frameworks; prior SAP experience is advantageous.
* Ensure accurate and timely data input and maintenance within SAP.

Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in Material Scheduling, forecasting, Procurement and Planning within the Automotive & Off-highway sectors (essential)
* Demonstrated success in implementing JIT, Kanban, Lean principles.
* Excellent IT skills including Intermediate to advanced Excel (essential)
* Proficient in using SAP (desirable)
* Proficient in using MRP Systems (essential)
