Dental Nurse Manager role and responsibilities
Sensu is looking for an experienced, dedicated Nurse Manager to join and grow with us. This is a leadership-oriented clinical role, ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, clinical oversight capability, and a commitment to excellent patient care and team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support the dental nursing team across multiple London sites (Zone 1-6): scheduling, workload balancing, onboarding new hires.
* Ensure compliance with infection-control protocols, sterilisation standards, and dental health & safety regulations.
* Maintain and manage stock / consumables, liaise with suppliers, monitor inventory levels.
* Assist clinicians chair-side when needed and ensure smooth patient flow and preparation between appointments.
* Oversee training and continuous professional development of nursing staff (CPD, certifications).
* Support patient experience standards — cleanliness, comfort, efficient theatre turnover, calm environment.
* Provide support with staff HR/admin tasks: rotas, holiday coverage, shift swaps, performance feedback.
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified dental nurse with valid registration
* Proven experience in a supervisory or nurse-manager role in a busy dental or clinical practice.
* Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
* Sound knowledge of infection control, sterilisation, dental health & safety standards.
* Ability to manage supplies and budgets, coordinate across teams, maintain documentation.
* Proactive, reliable, team-player attitude; aligned with Sensu's values of respect, positivity and patient-centrism.

Requirement

* Full-time, some evenings and weekend work (Flexible mix of shifts).
